Every event is quoted vessel-by-vessel, but the party format has a consistent anatomy. These are the components we plan and price for you.
The vessel, set up as a venue
The boat is the venue, so we match it to the party rather than the other way around. Sailing and power catamarans give the most usable flat deck space for dancing and mingling; motor yachts suit smaller premium groups that want cabins, air-conditioned saloons, and a faster run to Nusa Lembongan or Nusa Penida. One honest constraint we always state up front: every vessel has a certified passenger limit under Indonesian licensing, and a party layout with a DJ booth, bar table, and buffet usually means a comfortable capacity below that legal maximum. We confirm both numbers before you commit.
DJ and sound setup
Open decks eat sound, so a portable speaker will disappoint. We arrange powered speakers sized for the deck, a DJ with controller and booth, or a wired-in setup for your own playlist, and we check the equipment’s power draw against the vessel’s generator before anything is confirmed. Timing matters too: music runs freely in open water, while some anchorages and beach clubs have noise expectations in the evening, so the captain and DJ work to an agreed schedule rather than improvising.
Decoration and styling
Decoration at sea has to survive wind and salt spray. Balloon garlands, banners, table styling, a secured cake table, and themed setups are all workable when they are installed at the dock before boarding and rigged properly. Loose confetti, glitter, and sky lanterns are out. Most operators prohibit them and they end up in the water. Catering, cake, and drinks
Food options range from canapé rounds and grazing tables to full buffets, and several vessels can run a fresh barbecue on board. Birthday cakes travel chilled from the bakery to the dock and are stored on board until the moment you want them. Drinks are arranged legally through the operator or its supplier; corkage terms for bringing your own bottles vary by vessel, so tell us early if that is your plan and we will quote both routes.
Event security and guest management
For larger guest lists, corporate-adjacent parties, or hosts who simply want the door handled professionally, we bring in trained personnel through the group’s event and wedding security service in Bali. In practice that means guest-list checks at the dock, wristbands if you want them, control of who boards and when, and a calm presence if a guest has celebrated harder than the sea conditions allow. On a boat there is no stepping outside for air, so this layer earns its keep on any party above roughly thirty guests.

They are not fixed tariffs: the vessel, season, fuel plan, and add-ons move the number, and peak dates in July–August and December–January price at the top of each band. Every enquiry gets a written itemised quote before you pay anything.

Common add-ons, again as guidance rather than a menu: a DJ with equipment typically runs USD 300–700 depending on hours and rig; decoration packages sit around USD 150–600 by scope; catering is usually USD 25–75 per guest by menu tier; event security is quoted per guard per shift once we know the guest count and timings. If a budget number matters more than a specific boat, tell us the number first, since it is the fastest way to a shortlist that actually fits.
How to Book
- Send the brief. WhatsApp us the date, rough guest count, preferred time slot, and the feel you want: dance party, family afternoon, dinner-at-anchor. Photos of setups you like help.
- Review the shortlist. We come back with two or three vessels that fit, each with a party-format layout note and an itemised quote, normally within one working day.
- Confirm and pay the deposit. The deposit and terms follow the operating vessel’s policy, which we state in writing before you commit.
- Lock the event sheet. About a week out we fix the run sheet: boarding time, music schedule, food service, cake moment, transfer pickups, and security posts if booked.
- Party. On the day, our coordinator and the crew work from that sheet, and you host instead of managing vendors.

It depends entirely on the vessel’s certified passenger limit. Party charters in Bali commonly run from ten guests on a smaller motor yacht up to forty or more on large catamarans and party boats. We always quote two numbers: the legal maximum and the comfortable capacity once the DJ booth, bar, and buffet are on deck.
Can we bring our own DJ or our own alcohol?
Usually yes to both, with conditions. Your own DJ needs to coordinate with us on power and equipment in advance. Your own bottles are subject to the vessel’s corkage policy, which varies by operator. We state it in the quote so there are no surprises at the dock.
What happens if the weather turns bad?
Safety calls sit with the captain and harbour authorities, not with us or you. Light rain rarely stops a party, since most vessels have covered saloons, but if conditions are ruled unsafe, the operator’s reschedule policy applies and we manage the new date. We put those terms in writing before you pay.
Do you arrange children’s and family birthday parties?
Yes. The format shifts: calmer routes, an earlier time slot, life jackets sized for kids, food and music planned for a mixed-age group. Tell us the ages when you enquire and we will shortlist vessels with safe, enclosed deck areas.
How far in advance should we book?
Three to six weeks is comfortable for most dates. For July–August and the December–January holiday period, book as early as you can, since the best party vessels go first. Short-notice requests are still worth sending, since availability moves, but the choice narrows.
